This week I’m releasing the german version of the Waterfall Raglan by Chalk and Notch Patterns. Obviously I had to sew a sample, too, and let me tell you: I just couldn’t stop after one example. This pattern is just too awesome. Come on let me show you why my daugther and I love it so much!
Who could not love a dress that twirls like this? I must confess, that when I first saw the pattern, I wasn’t too sure whether it’s my thing. I’m not a very ruffly person and I just hate gathering. It does look nice, but the sewing itself isn’t the best in my opinion. Well, my german testers kept begging me for the pattern and who am I to say no to them? Plus, after seeing this post on La Folie, I knew that this isn’t just a dress with a ruffle, but that this is twirling heaven.
My daughter had begged me for a dress that twirls (and is comfy) for quite some time and I suddenly realized that this was exactly the right pattern. For this version (I sewed two other ones already) I chose that a beautiful giraffe print by Selia and combined it with yellow/white stripes. The dress turned out so summer-y and happy! No wonder that my daughter is in love!
So, if, like me, you have been on the fence about buying this pattern, I can just tell you to go for it. You will LOVE it!
Last week I had a chance to make several new tops for myself using the Women s Waterfall Raglan pattern by Chalk and Notch .
