This is going to be a real quick post. By now you all now that I’m a real NOSH-fangirl. The Fantasia collection is now exception!
I chose to sew two Ottobre Three Pieces (4/2015, Nr 17 Three Pieces). I used the blue Stretch College Fantasia for my daugther, and the red one for my son. I just love the quality of the stretch college fabrics and new that these had to be great, too. They are so yummy! Both pants are still a bit big on my kids, but even though this summer so far has been quite rainy in Germany, I haven’t yet given up. Thus, I decided to rather sew something a bit more cozy and warm for fall/winter and sized up. I’m sure my kids will enjoy cuddling themselves up in these comfortable, warm and soft pants. Plus, the texture of the print ist just so cool. Perfect for the cut of the pants!
Thanks, NOSH, for letting me sew with your gorgeous fabrics again. I’m getting to the point where I really can’t sew with fabrics of less quality anymore. They might be cheaper, but all the clothes that I’ve made using NOSH fabrics keep up against daily wear and many washes so well. You can’t see the difference between something that is 2 years old and something that was just sewn. So in the end it’s not that expensive anymore!
Last, but not least, I want to quickly talk about test sewing fabrics in general. You as my reader might ask yourself whether I actually like what I sew or whether I just talk nicely about fabrics, because I got them for free. Well, let me assure you: I only work with companies that offer fabrics of nice quality. Between being a mom and wife, working at university and pushing the shop forward, I just don’t have the time to sew something just because I got the fabric free and then to rave about it. I only agree to work with companies, if they can offer me fabric for things that I would have sewn anyways. Here for examples, I was going to sew long pants for my kids anyways when I got the email from NOSH. Almost all of the long pants of my son had to be turned in shorts as there was almost no fabric left at the knees (even patches wouldn’t have worked anymore), while all those of my daughter are capri-length after her last growth spurt. Normally I’d have had to buy some fabric for them. Well, the offer came right in time and as I know that the NOSH quality is always superb, it basically was a no-brainer. In summary, what I want to say, is: Please be assured that what I say about fabrics and companies always is my true opinion. This little blog here is really important to me. Through it I got to know so many wonderful people and was able to start a business. Free fabric is a nice plus, but it’s not why I’m blogging and it’s not worth lying for!
