Marte from Compagnie M. is organizing a very fun blog tour in Germany. She gave me a parcel full of her paper patterns and some goodies as well as a map of Germany and a notebook. I got to choose one of the patterns and to draw winner from a comment on a former blogpost about the tour who got the parcel next. Each blogger writes a little note in the notebook, takes some goodies and leaves some for the next one and marks the route of the parcel on the map. Each one also chooses on of the paper patterns and shows her makes some weeks later. Today I want to show my Lila Dress that I sewed for a little baby girl in the neighbourhood. It will only fit her next year, but I can’t wait to see her walking some of her first steps in this dress.
I chose the Lila Dress as I already own many of Marte’s patterns and wanted to try something new. Plus I’m always happy if I can “merge” several things from my sewing list. A baby present was to be sewn anyways and the Lila is such a cute pattern that I knew it’d be a winner. Lila is suitable for both girls and boys as there is a jumpsuit option, too. Plus, as with all Compagnie M. patterns, there are several bodice and skirt variations included. I chose the wrap bodice and gathered skirt, which is easy to wear yet still unique.
The fabric one of the Lila Lotta On the Open Sea Jerseys. I’m a test sewer for Lila Lotta and still sooo in love with this incredible collection. I LOVE all the prints in it. Aren’t those delicate waves just perfect? To add a special little detail, I ironed a foil jellyfish on the dress that I cut with my Silhouette using the Lila Lotta cutting file. I’m really happy about how this turned out. Cuteness overload.
