Shortly ago I told you about our wonderful trip to Sweden and about our time at „Noisy Village“. Today I want to continue with my travel tips for Sweden. But I also want to throw in some really fun boy sewing. I’ve teamed up with Stacey from boy, oh boy, oh boy crafts and with Monika from Schneidernmeistern. Monika was kind enough to give both of us her wonderful „Elbsegler“ pattern, which is a pattern for a cool and charming boys hat (she now sells also an english version!!!). What this has to do with our trip to Sweden? Well, I guess I will have to start at the beginning:

Vor kurzem hab ich euch von unserem Urlaub in Schweden sowie unserem Bullerbü-Besuch erzählt. Heute soll’s damit weiter gehen. Aber heute werde ich auch noch ein bißchen Jungsnähen mit reinmischen. Ich hab mich mit Stacey von boy, oh boy, oh boy crafts sowie Monika von Schneidernmeistern zusammen getan. Monika war so nett Stacey und mir ihr wunderbares „Elbsegler“ Schnittmuster zur Verfügung zu stellen. Was das jetzt mit Schweden zu tun hat? Tja, ich fang wohl am besten von vorne an:

Michel hat ja zwei Sachen, die er immer dabei hat. Seine Müsse und seine Büsse. Als ich kurz vor unserm Urlaub den Elbsegler bei Schneidernmeistern gesehen habe, war ich gleich total begeistert. Das ist wirklich der perfekte Michel-Hut. Genau die richtige Form. Ich hab einen Kommentar hinterlassen, dass das der genau richtige Hut für unsere Reise wäre und schon wenige Minuten später hat mir Monika eine email geschrieben, dass sie mir den Schnitt schenken würde, wenn ich „dafür“ ein paar schöne Fotos mache. Natürlich hab ich Ja gesagt!  (Danke nochmals an Monika für den Schnitt. Das war echt super nett von dir!)

When I had sewn the hat, I thought: „This hat deserves more! I can’t just pair it with a normal t-shirt. Now I really want to go all Emil“. So, just two days before our trip, I started to cut a Blank Slates Pattern Prepster Pullover from the same chambray as my Staple Dress and sewed, sewed and sewed. I also really love this pattern. I sewed it already last year, but now, after two real button-ups (see my knock off look here, for the other one you’ll also have to wait a little bit), it came together super quick and easy. I love how it turned out. Isn’t he like the sweetest little boy ever?

Wir haben die Fotos dann logischerweise in Katthult gemacht und J schaute wirklich genauso wie Michel aus. Wir haben ihm sogar noch eine Büsse gekauft, aber davon konnt ich kein so tolles Bild machen, denn Jungs mit Büsse in der Hand können einfach nicht still stehen ;) Wir hatten einen schönen Tag in Katthult. Es wohnen dort immer noch Leute, aber im Sommer kann man den Hof besuchen, in den Tischlerschuppen, die Klos (wo Michel seinen Papa mal eingesperrt hat), in Alfreds kleines Haus, etc. Außerdem sind viele schöne Tische unter den Bäumen wo man ein kleines Päuschen einlegen kann. Tiere gibt es auch und natürlich einen Souvenirladen mit allem was es zu Michel geben kann. Absolut einen Besuch wert!
